Aims | This course will consider the different stages of removable partial denture, overlay/overdenture and complete denture design including impressions, occlusal registration, management of flabby ridges and basic implant retained overdentures. |
Objectives | To summarise the principles of partial and complete denture design To describe which impression and occlusal registration techniques may be appropriate when managing a removable prosthodontic patient. To list the design features of overlay/overdentures. To discuss how a patient with combination syndrome can be predictably managed. To describe attachment systems for basic implant retained overdentures. |
