Aims | This virtual, online course aims to provide dental nurses with knowledge and understanding to support clinicians and patients undergoing minor oral surgery procedures. | ||
Objectives | The course will: Explain the specific role of the dental nurse to support patient care Explore deeper learning on general and oral anatomy Discuss management of conditions and diseases affecting the oral cavity Describe theory of suture removal and applying topical anaesthetic Review the importance of having effective behaviour change conversations | ||
Learning outcomes | By the end of the course dental nurses will be able to support patients and dental teams deliver effective care pathways to patients. DNs will be able to apply knowledge, understanding and skills to communicate effective health advice to patients, remove sutures and safely apply topical anaesthetic. | ||
