DescriptionThis course looks at preparation to obturation of the tooth using Protaper Rotary Endodontics, including a brief look at the microbial aetiology of endodontic disease and contemporary concepts in Endodontics. Thermoplastic obturation techniques will be discussed and demonstrated. Delegates will be taken through a morning didactic session of lectures and an afternoon practical session from start to finish of contemporary preparation and obturation of a root canal. The course offers sufficient opportunity for discussions and is interactive.

Aims

The course aims to provide participants an overview of Microbiology of Endodontic Disease and discuss contemporary concepts and practice of practical elements of Conventional Endodontic Treatment including Access, Negotiation, Length Determination and Glide Path Development, Irrigation Fundamentals of obturation and Role of the Coronal Restoration.

Objectives

By the end of the course delegates will understand and be able to safely perform the practical aspects of root canal treatment using ProTaper Rotary Endodontic System.
