DescriptionA selection of presentations from junior staff (non- trainees) across the region presenting a range of topics and contributions in paediatric dentistry.

Applications for the BSPD Ridings Branch Presentation Evening on 25th April 2023.

Applications are now open for abstracts to be submitted for entry to the regional presentation. Oral and poster presentations will take place on 25th April 2023.

Successful applicants will be invited to give a 10-minute oral presentation on a topic of their choice which reflects a contribution to paediatric dentistry. Runners up may be offered the opportunity to present this as a scientific poster.

This could be a local quality improvement project or clinical case that you have treated or novel initiative that you have introduced in your workplace. All applications will be considered.

Eligibility:

This is open to anyone who is not on a specialist training programme and is not a specialist or consultant.

Dentists, DCPS, undergraduates and postgraduates may apply.

One presenting author (co-authors to be acknowledged where applicable)

Applicants must be a member of good standing of the society and affiliated with the Ridings Branch.

Applications for this event will not prevent the applicant from submitting to present at the national BSPD conference.

How to apply:

1. Title of the Abstract

2. Abstract text of no more than 250 words

3. Name, job title and membership status of presenting author

A panel of judges will score each presentation and cash prizes will be awarded for the top 3 presentations.

Aims

To be presented with multiple short talks and posters from regional branch members ​to present their work in paediatric dentistry in front of a panel of judges for a regional presentation prize.

Objectives

To recognise contributions to paediatric dentistry in the Yorkshire region

To give opportunities to junior staff who are not in training to present their work or area of interest

To showcase the achievements of local clinicians who have an interest in paediatric dentistry

Learning outcomes
