Aims

Provide an update on the development of direct restorative materials suitable for posterior teeth including bulk fill composites and amalgam alternatives.

Objectives

Be able to use modern bulk fill composite materials to produce restorations with a high-quality seal and minimal shrinkage stress.

Understand the light curing process and the factors that could influence the polymerisation efficiency of resin composites.

Have had a chance to use sectional matrices to help provide the perfect contact point.

Learning outcomes

Delegates will have an update on the direct restorative materials available for posterior restorations and the factors that influence their clinical success

Delegates will have further understanding of how to effectively use and maintain LED light curing units.
