Description | This popular all-day course covers the many uses of composite resin as a restorative, preventative and aesthetic assessment material. New materials and techniques including discussion on the use the latest range of adhesive aesthetic materials as well as traditional methods is covered. Hands-on sessions include anterior veneers with direct and preform techniques, and posterior teeth using a range of direct, chairside and indirect techniques. Emphasis is on simple effective placement and finishing procedures. Please note this is not based in a clinical skills labs so hands on sessions are restricted. |

Aims | To train dentists in the use of composite to restore teeth, design and change smiles, repair worn and damaged teeth, protect teeth and treat occlusal problems using contemporary materials and techniques. |
Objectives | To teach dentists how to use composite and adhesives to repair damaged teeth. To teach techniques for the restoration of worn teeth. To be able to select and use appropriate materials To be able to achieve aesthetic results while restoring teeth and smiles. Learning Outcomes: 1 be able to assess damaged teeth and select treatment options 2 use adhesives and composites to replace missing tooth tissue aesthetically and functionally, using bulk-fill, monolayer and multilayer techniques. 3 be able to replace missing tooth with a range of adhesive direct and indirect techniques 4 decide when to use composite rather than ceramic. |
