Aims | The course will cover the theory and practical aspects of treating caries in the primary dentition as well as treatment planning of more complex cases. |
Objectives | The following techniques will be discussed together with putting them into practice in the lab: Rubber dam and local anaesthetic Behaviour management Pulpotomy techniques and medicaments Stainless steel crowns (including conventional and Hall technique) Treatment planning |
Learning outcomes | After this course, delegates will be able to: Manage dental caries in primary teeth using a biological approach. Select and justify the use of appropriate restorative materials when restoring primary teeth with reference to the underlying evidence base. Provide vital and non-vital pulp treatment on primary molars using modern techniques and materials. |
