Delegates should note: Delegates must be a GDC registrant, have Individual Indemnity Insurance, hold a current CPR / medical emergency CPD certificate and be able to provide the name of a mentor willing to provide full support for the 10 reflective log sheets. CPD certificate for 6 hours will be available as usual – Certificate of Competence will be awarded on completion and submission of the 10 reflective mentored log sheets. | ||

| Aims | To practice skilful dental impression taking within a clinical setting. To explore the diversity of patients and understand care and communication requirements for different groups. To consider current legislative requirements and the impact of professionalism on practice. | ||
| Objectives | Be able to demonstrate essential skills and depth of knowledge in dental impression materials in order to facilitate patient treatment and care. Effectively recognise the diversity of patients, promote inter professional communication and explore current legislation and professional conduct. Be competent to undertake dental impressions to enable an accurate detailed cast to be made in the laboratory. | ||
