Aims

The course aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the latest innovations and clinical techniques available to provide optimum outcomes for patients requiring removable prostheses.

Objectives

To discuss both complete and partial denture theory.

Covering the principles of acrylic, chrome denture design, overdentures, overlay dentures, management of free end saddles in regard to partial dentures.

Covering, impression techniques, occlusal registration techniques, management of flabby ridges and basic implant retained overdentures in regard to complete dentures

Learning outcomes

Have a working understanding of partial and complete denture design.

Appreciate which impression and occlusal registration techniques may be appropriate when managing a removable prosthodontic patient.
