DescriptionThis accredited course in inhalation sedation (IHS) for children is the perfect introductory course for those wishing to start independent practice or as a refresher for those already treating children using IHS. It comprises of lectures in the morning covering the theory including patient selcetion, pharmacokinetics, indications and contraindications, monitoring, scavenging and adverse events. The afternoon session is held in the sedation unit at Leeds Dental Institute when participants will have the opportunity to carry out some hands-on IHS as well as learning about safety checks and patient monitoring.
