Aims

  • Identify indemnity requirements and understand GDCs Fitness to Practice

  • Discuss the principles of dental radiography and ionising radiation.
  • Define radiation protection in clinical environments.
  • Describe various dental radiographs and equipment.
  • Implement effective quality assurance.

  • Discuss the HTM 01 05 document and explore how to comply with essential quality requirements, including auditing and validation.
  • Receive training in the transmission of infections

  • Identify signs and symptoms of oral cancer
  • Describe risk factors associated with oral cancer
  • Discuss preventative methods to support patients
