Aims

To understand the why and how of using rubber dam and learn tips and techniques to make isolation easy.

Objectives
  • Be able to recognise when it benefits to have rubber dam on
  • Develop a basic understanding to place rubber dam routinely
  • Recognise the importance of familiarising the nurse with the routine techniques used
Learning outcomes

After this courses delegates will

  • Have improved knowledge of the variety of techniques and how to select the correct clamp and dam for the procedure
  • Be able to recognise and prevent rubber dam leaks, and manage potential problems
  • Know how to work effectively and efficiently with DCPs when using rubber dam
