To gain greater understanding of understanding of risk factors and medical conditions associated with problematic bleeding.

Bleeding Objectives

• To be able to identify patients at risk of bleeding problems and understand the medical conditions which may give rise to bleeding issues in dental patients
• To be able to apply current guidelines to the management of patients at increased risk of bleeding and identify medications which impact on a patient’s clotting ability

Learning Outcomes - by the end of this course delegates will be aware of issues which may impact on a patient’s clotting ability and identify appropriate strategies to manage this.
