1.Understand the clinicial systems at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, Sheffield Childrens Hospital & Barnsley District Hospital.

2.Have the ability to orient themselves, know whom to approach for help.

3. Be in a position to start the role as a DCT safely, with a thorough understanding of the inbuilt safeguards in place.
