Aims

The course will reinforce the legal aspects of Heath and Safety and address professionalism with the GDC, promote recognition of infection control issues and openly discuss the department of healths’ guidance document HTM 01-05. It will de-mystify dental radiography and address IRR and IR(ME)R requirements.

Objectives

By the end of the course delegates will be able to:

Understand the principles of health and safety 

  • Identify a variety of hazards and effectively carry out risk assessment
  • Be aware of the practical actions to improve health and safety and the care and safety of others.
  • Be aware of the requirements surrounding reporting of accidents, dangerous occurrences, defective equipment and safety hazards
