DescriptionThis year we are making a change from the usual Spring School format and instead there will be a 2 day trainer conference on 12th and 13th May 2021. Each day will include 2 keynote speakers and a range of workshops to choose from. The workshop topics will include Helping trainees pass the AKT, Helping trainees pass the RCA, Helping trainees facing challenges, using humanities in teaching, promoting wellbeing and resilience in trainees, helping trainees with QIP and leadership, and more.

Once all workshops are confirmed, those booked on the corresponding day (1 or 2) will receive an email to the email address registered to their Maxcourse account with a list of the workshops available. You will then need to book which you would like to attend. All workshops will be filled on a first come first served basis.

Dame Clare Gerada

Clare will speak on ‘A year of Covid: Doctors, pandemic, and mental illness’Clare will need little introduction to most of you as a past Chair of RCGP Council, founder and leader of NHS Practitioner Health and recently awarded Damehood amongst her many achievements.She is a GP in London.

 

Dr Margaret Ikpoh and Dr Mo Sattar

Margaret and Mo will speak on ‘The writings on the wall – Keeping race in mind’. Margaret and Mo are our local heroes amongst the keynote speakers and will be known to many of you. Margaret is a GP in Holderness , Associate Director of Primary Care Education at Hull York Medical School and Chair of Humber & Ridings Faculty of RCGP. Mo is a GP in Leeds, founder of the BAME Primary Care Leeds network and a broadcaster on Fever FM Leeds
