Aims

The aim is to provide you with knowledge of neurodifferences to support postgraduates through their course and into the working environment.

Objectives

The objectives for this course are:

  • To understand what a neurodifference is and how this might affect someone working in a clinical environment.
  • To provide an overview of common neurodifferences such as ADHD, autism, dyslexia and dyspraxia.
  • To recognise what adjustments are available.
  • To obtain the knowledge to support a postgraduate through their course and into the working clinical environment.
Learning outcomes

On completion of the course, you will:

  • Have awareness of common neurodifferences
  • Be able to effectively support postgraduate students with a neurodifference through their course and into the clinical working environment
  • Identify challenges and strengths of common neurodifferences
  • Have an awareness of appropriate adjustments for colleagues or students with neurodifferences
