Aims

The aim is to provide you with the knowledge on neurodifferences to support postgraduates through their course an into the working environment.

Objectives

The objectives for this course are:

  • To understand what a neurodiversity is and how this might effect someone working in a clinical environment.
  • To explore each neurodiversity in detail, looking at Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ADHD and Autism.
  • To recognise what adjustments are available.
  • To obtain the knowledge to support a postgraduate through their course and into the working clinical environment.
  • To understand the law around disabilities.
  • To acquire the knowledge to what is a ‘reasonable’ adjustment.
  • To explore the challenges that can arise
  • To provide the expertise on how to create an inclusive environment.
Learning outcomes

On completion of the course, you will have:

  • Detailed knowledge of the neurodifferences
  • How to support a postgraduate through their course and into the clinical working environment.
  • The adjustments that might be available to an individual.
  • The expertise to navigate challenging situations that might arise about neurodifferences and adjustments.
  • Greater awareness surrounding the Law and disabilities.
