DescriptionA dynamic, interactive workshop, there will be walking and alot of conversations! Thinking about the challenges when primary care is asked to support health promotion and disease prevention and what this means for educators and trainees. Dr Jo Maher & Dr Martin Sutcliffe draw on their extensive experience as practitioners, eductors as well as from the realms of public health they are currently involved. We hope to share our insight and help educators develop an understanding of public health today including how using publicly available data sets can be used to design community-focused clinical services. We will also be arming you with resources and ideas to take back to practice & teaching in wheelbarrow loads! Wear walking boots and suitable outdoor clothing as parts of this workshop will involve going out into the beautiful YSP grounds, whatever the weather
