Additional information

Have you found yourself thinking… “Helping this trainee is exhausting” “This trainee is really struggling” “This trainee is at risk of failing their exams” “How am I going to get this trainee through their exam?” “How can I support this trainee and manage everything else?” “How do I get this trainee to CCT?” All our trainees have different learning styles and educational and clinical backgrounds. Our trainee cohort has changed. More of our trainees are at risk of differential attainment. You have probably already attended the Differential Attainment(DA) overview workshop which looks at why DA exists and strategies for reducing it. This workshop aims to follow on this work and provide the space to discuss past and present trainees and educational supervisees who have needed or need additional or different support. We will look at their journey, the strategies that were used, what worked well and what didn’t and provide ideas and resources to ensure that trainers can feel equipped to sustainably and successfully support their trainees on their training journey.
