SubjectGP Prospective Trainers
DescriptionIf you are currently on the pathway to becoming a GP Trainer i.e. you have registered via the web app this is the course for you. It is not intended for experienced Trainers. CSRs and ESRs for Intending Trainers This course is only open to prospective GP Trainers who have been accepted onto the trainer pathway. This is one of the mandatory courses that need to be completed. This course will outline the role of the Clinical Supervisor and the Educational Supervisor and practical advice on how to write the required reports within the RCGP Trainee e-portfolio, for each of these roles.

This session will be held virtually either via Zoom or MS Teams.

Registration and joining instructions will be made available via your MaxCourse account, after you have booked your place.  Please ensure you check MaxCourse nearer to the date for the most up to date instructions for joining virtually.

Aims

The course helps you understand importance of CS and ES reports and how to do them well.

Objectives
  • We will be covering all aspects of the CSR and ESR.
  • Share ideas about how to make the most of these assessment tools.

  • Developing skills and knowledge for a more efficient and effective way to complete the CSR and ESR.
  • Improved knowledge of how to use Educator Notes.
  • Improved knowledge of how CSRs and ESRs help inform ARCP panel Outcomes.
