Aims

• Help all those who organise sessions for trainees and students to try out approaches to make virtual teaching and feedback engaging for learners.

Objectives

• The course will demonstrate effective use of key features in the virtual teaching environment: activating prior learning, breakout rooms, reactions and polling, pre- course quizzes with Socrative, in course collaborative software such as padlet and feedback using the chat function.

Learning outcomes

• Give and receive effective feedback, within a balanced framework

• Activate prior learning and promote a growth mindset in learners

• Deliver engaging learning sessions which maximise interaction and thus engagement for learners
