How often in healthcare have you been party to a new idea being imposed on your practice, with what has felt like little consultation?

As you develop your leadership skills do you feel equipped to bring an idea from consultation to implementation?

Edmund Cross will be facilitating a session focusing on change management. He brings a huge amount of insight and experience to the subject. This session will take us through:

• Assessing where our personal leadership styles fit on the spectrum of command and control to consultative
• Practically, what mechanisms can support team consultation when moving from ideas to implementation of change
• What is some of the theory underpinning managing change, for example 'Bridges Managing Transition'

We hope this will be a useful time of reflection, as well as empowering us with a better understanding of people's response to change and tools useful for implementation of new ideas. This will be a great session for fellows who are moving into new positions of leadership as well as those returning to clinical roles, as they leave fellowship life.
