| Description | This interactive course covers a wide range of topics to help you improve your CV, application form answers and interview performance! Topics covered include building an excellent CV - content, layout and presentation, common application form questions and strategies for answering them effectively, models to help structure answers to common types of interview questions, self-presentation tips, body language and non-verbal communication, handling difficult questions and “interview blocks” – all helping you to deliver positive and effective interview answers! | ||
| Additional information | Please do not book this course if you have already booked/attended one of our other Interview Skills courses. Please see the PDFs above. Catering is not provided for this course. There is a fridge available on the second floor should you wish to bring food with you. Please ensure all food is in a sealed container to prevent cross-contamination. There are a few outlets available around the venue, please familiarise yourself with the location if you plan on purchasing food on the day. | ||

| Aims | By the end of the course participants will have had the opportunity to: • Analyse and understand the requirements of a post and how to construct a targeted CV • Discuss common issues around building an effective CV – content, layout and presentation • Consider some of the NHS application form questions and strategies for answering them • Explore models and structures useful for answering common types of application form and interview questions • Clarify and practise the skills of self-presentation at interview • Examine difficult interview questions and situations and explore techniques to overcome these | ||
