DescriptionThe life experience and medical education of our trainees may be very different to our own. This can create challenges for both the trainee and trainer. How do we bridge the gap of knowledge? In this study day we use the creative arts as a bridge to explore both the gap and the land on either side of the bridge, with the aim of improving our knowledge and gaining tools to use in practice. Please note each arts seminars covers a different subject

Aims

To help improve the medical educator's understanding of trainees whose life experience and medical education might be very different to their own. To discuss tools to use in induction, tutorials and HDR teaching.

Objectives

We will use the creative arts as a bridge to explore both the gap and the land on either side of the bridge, with the aim of improving knowledge and acquiring tools to use in practice. The day will involve reflection on past experiences in GP Training, discussing creative arts resources as a tool for change, small group work and whole group discussion.
