Aims

Aim - For all delegates to be able to safeguard vulnerable adults at risk of abuse and to apply the MCA to practice.

Objectives

By the end of the course delegates should be able to:

- understand the aims and six key principles of safeguarding according to the Care Act (2015)

- discuss the broadening of the categories of abuse and how it applies to practice

- participate in safeguarding scenarios and analyse appropriate response

- understand the principles of the MCA

- to feel confident in completing and MCA assessment

 

Learning Objective:

Delegates will be able to formulate a pratice policy for delivering safer care for their vulnerable adult patients.
