Objectives

Following this session participants will have an understanding of their responsibiltiy for safeguarding Children and know what to do if they have a concern about a child.

  • To have an understanding of the Dentist’s role in Safeguarding Children
  • To consider the effects of poor oral health and dental neglect in children and its impacts on their physical and emotional well being
  • To gain confidence in knowing who to contact and how to make referrals
