Aims

Aim:

This course will include problem solving to assess current treatment planning methods for periodontitis and peri-implantitis and enable the dental team to improve periodontal treatment planning in general dental practice.

Objectives

By the end of the session will

 

  1. Identify and diagnose periodontal disease around teeth and implants.
  2. Use appropriate methods of diagnosis and assessment
  3. Formulate treatment plans with the aid of case studies
  4. Be able to liaise with other members of the team including referral to provide sound care and management.
