The course fee for this event is £50.00 per person which includes tea/coffee on arrival. A reduced course fee for dental nurses is available of £40.00. Please select the appropriate delegate rate during the online booking process.

Places on this course are limited to 50 and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Cancellation policy: A refund, less £15 administration fee, is guaranteed for cancellations received up to three weeks before the start of the course (8th March 2017 at 5pm). Aims
  • To update the dental team on issues relating to Oral Cancer
Learning outcomes

By the end of the event participants will be able to:

  • Identify the risks factors associated with the development of oral cancer
  • To feel confident in your ability to recognise the signs and symptoms of oral cancer
  • To recognise oral lesions that are regarded as potentially malignant
  • To communicate effectively with a patient who presents with a suspicious oral lesion
  • To communicate effectively with secondary care when making an urgent referral for a patient with suspected oral cancer and pre-cancer
  • To understand the role of the dental team in managing patients who have undergone treatment for oral cancer
