Lecturer profileDr Hussain is Senior Clinical Lecturer and Deputy Programme Director for the Blended Learning Fixed and Removable MClinDent degree at KCL Dental Institute and teaches on a number of KCL Masters programmes. She has delivered numerous lectures and hands-on courses on a wide range of topics including Tooth Wear, Occlusion, Gerodontology, Restoration of Broken and Cracked Teeth, Composites and Adhesives.
Since qualifying from Leeds Dental Institute in 1991 she has worked in both NHS Dental Services and the Private Sector and currently practices in Buckinghamshire. She has a special interest in minimal intervention aesthetic techniques, managing older patients with failing dentitions, treatment of patients with severe tooth wear and all aspects of complex prosthodontic treatment in practice.

As well leading on the silencing of the dental drill collaboration, research includes management of occlusal problems using MI techniques, bringing together aesthetics and function with a focus on tooth preservation.
