2005. Previous experience includes 5 years' experience in general practice following completion of VT,
and SHO jobs in Restorative Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery prior to completing Specialty
Training in Leeds.

Lecturer profileGraduated from Newcastle in 2006 and moved to Scotland to complete foundation training in Edinburgh. This was followed by SHO jobs in Aberdeen and the Eastman Dental Hospital in London. I completed specialist training in Leeds and was appointed there in October 2014 as Consultant in Restorative Dentistry with a focus on periodontology and developmental anomalies.

Lecturer profileMatthew has been an NHS Consultant in Restorative Dentistry since 2010 when he established the Restorative Dentistry department at York Hospital. This has since expanded to include Scarborough and Harrogate hospitals. He provides consultations and treatment planning advice for local GDPs and his main treatment remit is for the oral rehabilitation of oral cancer patients, the treatment of hypodontia and the provision of dental implants. He is also involved in postgraduate teaching, has published a number of articles in peer reviewed dental journals and is an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh Matthew has been registered with the GDC as a specialist in Restorative Dentistry, Prosthodontics, Endodontics and Periodontics since 2009.
