| Lecturer profile | Sharon is a practicing Dental Therapist (BSc Hons, Manchester 2007) with over 25 years' experience in the dental industry. As well as obtaining many dental qualifications while working as a dental nurse, she completed her Certificate in Education in 2004, along with the A1 Assessor Award and Internal Verifier awards has recently completed a post graduate certificate in work based learning at the University of Bedfordshire to maintain updated teaching skills.
Sharon's area of special interest is radiation protection and all aspects of dental radiography and she provides various CPD updates in this subject working with many of the UK's Dental Deaneries and NHS Trusts. Sharon completed a M.Sc. in Dental and Maxillo Facial Radiology from Kings College, London in 2012 and is currently training to become a Radiation Protection Advisor.
