Aims

Enable delegates to be able to provide oral health education to patients on a one to basis to motivate and improve their dental health.

Objectives
  • List the different methods and tools used for daily home care oral hygiene
  • Discuss the benefits and pitfalls of different aids
  • Demonstrate an effective tooth brushing technique and adapt performance when required
  • Show competence in demonstrating the effective use of floss
  • Be able to competently use plaque disclosing agents, record the findings and advise the patient accordingly
