Following the presentation delegates should know:

  • The extent of medicolegal problems in orthodontics and adult orthodontics in particular.
  • Be aware of the specific issues that lead to medicolegal problems in orthodontic practice.

Following the presentation delegates should be able to:

  • Avoid some of the medicolegal pitfalls in orthodontic practice
  • Understand some of the processes that are in place whereby orthodontic patients and the regulator can initiate and progress litigation against an orthodontist or other dental professional.
