Aims
  • To consider the recognition and classification of different types of enamel defects
  • To describe current knowledge on the aetiology and presentation of the condition “molar incisor hypomineralisation”
  • To examine current concepts in the management of enamel defects in children and adolescents
Objectives
  • To explain the range of approaches and techniques used for behaviour management in paediatric dentistry
  • To describe the psychological principles that underpin behaviour management techniques
  • To discuss techniques for administering local anaesthesia to children
  • To consider pharmacological techniques (sedation and GA) and their indications, advantages and limitations
