DescriptionThere are six one-day practical and interactive workshops covering the key management areas. The workshops are held every two months and you can attend the full series of six workshops, or simply attend individual days.

Please note that this is one of six standalone workshops designed to ensure dentists and managers feel confident that they are managing their practices as efficiently and as effectively as possible.

Aims

What a delegate can hope to take from the workshop

Understanding how to deal with change in the practice

An understanding of what constitutes change, the effects of change and how a manager needs to approach these. This is then applied to a dental practice, and how to ensure a positive impact on the team is understood.

To be able to review and create new goals and strategy

The importance of reviewing the organisation’s objectives and strategy and how to do this in a safe and controlled way to ensure buy-in and focus for the whole team. Implementing this revised strategy on a day to day basis and the role of ongoing review.

To develop own management and leadership style

The importance of understanding your own individual management and leadership style. To identify how this impacts the team and why styles might change over a period of time, as the manager, the team and the individuals develops.

To create an ongoing personal development plan

The process of creating and putting into effect a personal development plan which will ensure ongoing improvements as both a manager and a leader. Delegates will identify how this leads to increased motivation through personal development.
