Become familiar with the concept of the dental biofilm

Objectives

At the end of the lecture, delegates will understand the structure of plaque, concentration of fluoride and antimicrobials in plaque, rate of diffusion into plaque in relation to applied concentrations (toothpastes) and location of diffusing molecules in relation to bacterial cells/biomass.
