Aims

The aim is to raise awareness of some of the common medical conditions patient may present with in clinical settings and provides an opportunity to simulate IM injection technique.

Objectives

By the end of the session delegates will be able to:

  • Recognise signs and symptoms for different medical conditions,
  • Appropriately respond to each condition in order to preserve and save lives
  • Feel confident in supporting the dental team in any medical emergency
  • Select and administer IM drugs
