The presentations will focus on the dilemmas and challenges of working in a modern-day dental practice. Raj will review the contractual and business challenges of running a dental practice and delivering an excellent clinical service to patients. The challenges associated with the NHS will be explored with supporting medico-legal cases and there will be an insight into what the future holds for NHS dentistry. He will draw on his experiences as a pilot site and will discuss how these changes may also have an impact on the private sector. The day will also include a session on the challenges of clinical decision-making and the impact of GDC’s Standards guidance on everyday practice.
