To be able to learn and apply safety intervention strategies and clinical holding techniques relevant to Special Care Dentistry.

Objectives

Identify and respond to various levels of crisis behaviours Learn strategies to strengthen non-verbal communication Demonstrate and practise non-restrictive and restrictive interventions that are consistent with a set of physiological principles

Identify situations where safety interventions and/or clinical holding are required and be able to confidently apply techniques learned during the course.
