Aims | - To improve knowledge of traumatic dental injuries and their management, in both the primary and permanent dentition
- To improve knowledge of common medical conditions in children and how they may impact a child’s dental care
- To discuss and practice treatment planning skills in relation to children with traumatic dental injuries and common medical conditions

Objectives | At the end of the session, participants should feel more confident and comfortable dealing with: - Primary tooth trauma – aetiology, diagnosis, treatment. Discussion of relevant clinical guidelines
- Permanent tooth trauma – hard tissue injuries – aetiology, diagnosis, management (acute and follow-up). Discussion of relevant clinical guidelines
- Permanent tooth trauma – periodontal ligament injuries – aetiology, diagnosis, management (acute and follow-up). Discussion of relevant clinical guidelines
- Dental management of the medically compromised child, and to refer as appropriate
