DescriptionThe course will provide theoretical knowledge and the practical skills required for the candidates to competently apply topical fluoride to children and adult patients on the prescription from a dentist.
Additional information

There will be two underpinning theory days; 6 hours per day. The sessions will be held 6 weeks apart to allow sufficient time for the candidates to build a portfolio of practical experience, write a case study and carry out appropriate research. There will be a half-day session 2 weeks after the second session, this session will be to verify that portfolios are of a sufficient standard for certification. The candidate will provide one expanded case study and three structured questions. Email and telephone support will be available throughout the duration of the course.

The candidate will be required to appoint an appropriately trained, GDC registered workplace supervisor who will provide the practical skills training and assessment.
