Aims

Clarify the roles of the DCP assisting in the provision of high quality radiographs, updating the DCPs knowledge of factors relating to IRMER and Quality Assurance in relation to dental radiography.

Objectives
  • IRMER regulations and how they relate to their role in the Dental Practice.
  • the process by which radiographs are produced and how to be able to identify problem areas if they arise.
  • the requirements to maintain a processor which provides good quality radiographs or provide excellent quality assurance when working with digital imaging.
  • how to assist the Dentist or DCP in the layout and preparation of materials required for a range of radiographic techniques
