Description | This is an interactive course offering a detailed introduction to Makaton combining a practical approach with theory and technical information. The course has been specifically tailored to the needs of those working in the dental profession. There will also be a talk from a parent of a child who communicates using makaton discussing the experiences and challenges her and her daughter have faced in the medical and dental environment. |
Additional information | Makaton is a language programme using signs and symbols to help people communicate. It is the UK’s leading language programme for children and adults with learning or communication difficulties (The Makaton Charity- www.makaton.org) |
